James Deer, MD is board-certified in Endocrinology and Internal Medicine and specializes in the treatment of diabetes, thyroid diseases, thyroid cancer, pituitary diseases, and adrenal insufficiency. His experience also includes management of insulin pumps. Dr. Deer emphasizes shared decision making and thorough discussion of treatment options that incorporates lifestyle improvement alongside medication options. Dr. Deer is dedicated to providing high quality and evidence-based care for each patient’s unique situation.

Following his fellowship training, Dr. Deer practiced for two years at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, then spent four years on staff at the Abrazo Diabetes Care Center in Goodyear.
